what is the difference between the DNA Collection and the RNA Collection?
Our DNA (Designer Natural Accessory) collection is perfect for women who desire a durable— quality— product. All DNA bundles are carefully sourced from donors throughout South America and East Asia. Our DNA collection is 100% natural virgin human hair, and is free of any chemical processing or unnatural fillers. Some textures are steamed with water to achieve a specific texture or curl pattern.
We believe so much in our product that we guarantee that all DNA extensions will last 1-3 years with proper usage and care.
Our RNA (Raw Natural Accessory) bundles are sourced from the Philippines, and are considered our premium product line. Each 3.5 oz bundle is collected with the highest level of integrity and quality control. This hair is 100% unaltered, raw, natural, virgin, human hair and is therefore free of any chemical, steam or filers alteration processing. This hair varies in natural color from 1b-4.
Our premium RNA bundles are guaranteed to last for a minimum of 3 years with proper care.
How much hair is needed for an install?
12-16 inches – 2 bundles
18-22 inches – 3 bundles
22+ inches – 4 bundles
How is the hair length measured?
Our straight hair is measured in its natural state, whereas, the wavy or curly hair is measured when stretched. You may want to add 4-6 inches when ordering a curly or wavy texture. Keep in mind your size and frame when deciding on a length. An 18" weave will fall longer on a person 5' 2" as opposed to a person 5' 11".
Can the hair be colored?
All of Strand’s hair products can be colored or lightened. We highly recommend color to be done by a trained professional and that a color strand test on a swatch of hair be performed to see how your new color will look.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa and Personal Checks as processed via PayPal.
How long does it take before an order is shipped and received?
Upon confirmation of a cleared payment, orders are processed within 24 business hours. In stock orders are then shipped express overnight for next day delivery. Special Order items are processed within 24 hours of payment confirmation, and are estimated to arrive 5-7 days from the date of purchase.
How are orders shipped?
All orders are shipped via USPS express next day air or Priority Mail, with confirmation and full value postal insurance.
Where can orders be shipped?
We only ship to PayPal confirmed addresses. A confirmed address is one that has been established by PayPal as belonging to the PayPal account holder. In most cases, when a buyer’s credit card billing and shipping addresses are the same, the address is considered confirmed.
What happens if an item I order is sold out?
Occasionally a tremendous demand will deplete our stock of a particular product. We reserve the right to partially fill orders that contain out of stock products. We will provide a refund for any item that is not fulfilled. We will contact a client with information on out of stock items if we are unable to fill the order.

Can I cancel or make changes to an order?
Once an order is placed, it is immediately entered into our processing program, and cannot be canceled or changed.
How do I track my order?
You will receive an email with your tracking number announcing that your order has been shipped. If you have a PayPal account you may also sign in to your PayPal account and you will have the ability to review all of your past and in process orders placed with Strand.
By clicking on the order number you will find specific details, such as order status, for that order.
Do you offer an installation service?
Yes, installation services are provided by Strand door to door on location Glam Stylist.
How do I schedule an appointment for an install?
You can schedule an appointment for an installation by sending an email to our Extension specialist J.Strand at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 907-406-0930.
Is a deposit required when scheduling my installation service?
A deposit is not required, however, the installation fee must be paid at the time of the hair purchase in order to confirm and hold the appointment time. If a cancellation or reschedule is necessary it must be canceled or changed 24 hours before the scheduled time of arrival in order for installations fee to be fully refunded. If a client fails to show up for the scheduled appointment and does not call to cancel or reschedule the appointment within that 24 hour time frame Strand reserves the right to keep 50.00 of the installation fee as a penalty for a no show.
How do I pay for my installation at the time of hair purchase when buying online?
To pay for the installation service when purchasing hair online, click on the "add on" button and click on the drop down function then select installation service by clicking the button to add to shopping cart.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final.
What is the difference between Raw hair and Virgin hair?
There is a difference between RAW hair and VIRGIN hair. Some virgin hair with curls is processed with steam. Raw hair is hair that is sourced straight from the donors. The only processing that RAW hair has been through is hackling (making sure there are no lice or nits). Virgin hair on the other hand sometimes goes through steam processing— which is how manufacturers produce curl patterns such as Body wave, Deep wave, Deep curl, etc. The steam processing doesn’t mean the hair has been chemically processed, but it does mean the hair is not in its rawest form.
Please know that steam processed wavy patterns and curls do not last as long as Raw wave and curly patterns.
